How do you feel about e-learning? Are you a fan?
Since the e-learning online training format debuted in the early 2000s, adoption across industries has steadily increased, as technological innovations have enabled the online classroom experience to equal and, in many people’s opinions, surpass the traditional classroom training experience.
Today’s recent global COVID-19 pandemic has forced even the most ardent e-learning naysayers on board with the learning format, as academic institutions and universities around the world have mandated online learning for students. But, what about learning how to play the sport of tennis online? What about online tennis instruction?
Back in 2013, Forbes.com reported that tennis entrepreneurs were jumping into the online learning trend. Amadou Diallo’s article, “Tennis Entrepreneurs Score With Online Learning” cited a growing number of companies offering tennis instruction online as an alternative to traditional on-court lessons. Since then, the trend of online tennis instruction has soared.
Like so many tennis players forced off-court during COVID-19, I’ve turned my focus to tennis online, and I’ve enjoyed exploring all of the available online tennis training offerings. From instructional videos within formal e-courses to short video tips on YouTube, to e-books and audio podcasts, there are myriad online options to learn tennis techniques, strategies and tips to improve your game – whether you’re a beginner or experienced player.
Also, as COVID-19 restrictions ease and more of us are returning to courts in our local neighborhoods, there are many online options for finding tennis instructors who can deliver one-to-one instruction on a court near you.
So, what are you waiting for? Consider going online to get started with tennis or to improve your game. Here are some links to get you started:
